Rupina La Trek
Located forty miles east of Annapurna, Manaslu (also called Kutang), the eighth highest mountain in the world, dominates the Gurkha massif. The name Manaslu is derived from the Sanskrit word Manasa meaning "Mountain of the Spirit".
Manaslu is one of the best places for adventure trekking and the cultural site. It can be define as trekkers' paradise. It lies on the eastern side from Annapurna area between Bhudhi Gandaki and Marsyangdi River. Opened in 1992, this area offers a combination of rich cultural heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity. This is the popular trekking destination for mountain views and the ancient monasteries, other natural beauty. This area offers perfect views of the Larkya La peak, Mt. Manaslu (8,156 meter), Himalchuli, Buddha Himal and many more. And this is the excellent site to observe the Tibetan culture, people and their tradition. Tremendous Bhudhi Gandaki River, glacier green lake Birendra; which locate on the lap of the Manaslu, greenery pine forest side and rhododendron blooming in spring, monasteries, chhorten and bhuddhist flag are the jewelry of Manaslu region. Larkya La pass, Rupina La pass, Samagaon, Bhimtang, Samdo is the major attraction of this area for the visitor.
Best season to visit: In the spring (March to May) when the rhododendrons, the national flower of Nepal, are in bloom. Also in the fall (September to November) or post-monsoon when the weather is temperate and the skies are clear.
Trek Grade: Moderate to difficult. This is a difficult trek especially while crossing two difficult passes; Rupina La and Larkye La. Some mountaineering skills required.
Maximum altitude: 5213m at Larkye La.
Length of trek: It is advisable to spend three weeks along this route to fully experience the full scenic and cultural splendor.
Accommodations: This trek is organized as a fully camping trek as the valley floor can provide comfortable camping spots in good weather some parts of the way. Camping trek rates and fees are considerably higher as more resources are required.
Additional Information: The crossing of Rupina La and Larkye La can be dangerous at times, especially during unexpected snowfall and Altitude sickness so potential trekkers must make sure that they are well prepared and equipped for all eventualities. Our experienced porters/guides will help you to avoid potentially unsafe situations.

Day 01: Kathmandu Gorkha to Ghyampesal: Drive to Gorkha and trek to Ghyampesal
Drive from Kathmandu to Gorkha about five hours to Historical Capital Gorkha City (1650 m) explore around temples & Palaces and trek to Ghyamjpesal. overnight at tented camp at Ghyampesal.
Day 02: Ghyampesal to Deurali: Trek
Day 03: Deurali to Totnari: Trek
Day 04: Totnari to Darchye: Trek
